So tell us more about Rogue House Salon
Rogue House Salon is located in the heart of East Village and we are the chosen salon for New York Fashion Week.
When I started Rogue House Salon, I didn’t want it to be a normal hair and beauty salon, so my inspiration came from lounges and hotels. They always had a community-like vibe, and we’re representing a lounge salon versus a regular “salon”.
A regular salon can feel toxic and competitive and that’s not what we’re about. We love to be part of our East Village and community and pay homage to NYFW.
Our neon sign and slogan, “It’s All Good Here” has forged our value of openness and togetherness and our clients really enjoy visiting our salon because it is a lounge and workspace you can come to and get your hair done while relaxing. We also play lounge beats that range from electronic DJs to indie artists to make it an all-round experience for the senses.
We are an acclaimed salon that has over 800 reviews across all channels, rating us at a 4.7 so that shows we’re doing a lot of things right in the eyes of our customers.
What specialties does Rogue House Salon offer?
We are known for color, such as hair painting, foiling, hair extensions, updos, and a range of cutting-edge haircuts.
Being the chosen salon for New York Fashion Week, a lot of our focus and attention goes into that!
What is your number one tip for a happy, healthy hair and beauty routine?
Knowing your hair means knowing your hairstylist who you can trust to guide you through every hair look for every occasion. Working with the right hairstylist is a partnership of growth for your hairstyle.
What hair, beauty, and fashion trends are you seeing in New York right now?
Braids and bubble ponies are popular. There are various ways to style a ponytail, but my favorite is always the bubble ponytail.
What hair and beauty products do you think should be in everyoneβs day-to-day routine?
Kevin Murphy is the product line that we use and love because it does everything we need for happy and healthy hair.
What other hair, beauty, and fashion services would you like to give some love to?
My business partner is Rebecca Emmit, we created “House of Annex” an editorial agency that is committed to building hairstylists’ portfolios.
I also want to give a shout to NYFW who we love working with.
Is there anything else youβd like to share with our SalonOtter readers?
Rebecca Emmit has installed true leadership in the editorial industry. She has been an educator with Kevin Murphy for 10 years and has worked in the editorial world for 15 years. We have been hairstylists for over 20 years so are well trusted in the industry.
